Rick Richards is in the second year of his first term as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and also served on the Chamber of Commerce's Centennial Committee, organizing the Centennial Celebration for Littlefield's 100th birthday. He is now serving on the "Celebrate Littlefield" committee.
Rick is a member of the Chamber of Commerce "to help promote business and economic development in the community."
Rick has lived in Littlefield 18 years, and is director of Littlefield Independent School District's Business and District Services. Rick and his wife, Jan, are parents of two adult sons, Nick, 29, and his wife, Meg; and Joe, 27, and his wife Jess.
Before coming to Littlefield ISD, he had work experience in banking, real estate and mortgage lending for 17 years. During the 18 years with LISD, he has held various positions with the district.
He earned his BBA degree in banking and finance at Abilene Christian University, received his teaching certification from Texas Tech University; received his Master of Education degree from Wayland Baptist University. He is a registered Texas School Business Administrator.
Rick is also a member of the South Plains Chapter of Texas Association of School Business Officials, and the Littlefield Planning and zoning Board of Directors.
